Prereq uses your account and coursework information to help you build and save an academic plan.

Who operates Prereq

Prereq is an independent app published and operated by Rajesh Chockalingam Sivasubramanian, who is responsible for providing the service and overseeing the handling of personal information described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact prereq.contact@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Prereq stores your account identifier, sign-in email address, profile name when provided, and connected sign-in method. It also stores information you enter about your school, grade, graduation year, completed and planned courses, study halls, summer coursework, prior learning, and placement confirmations.

If you send feedback, your message, account ID, app version and build, platform, and contact preference are included. Please avoid including passwords or sensitive information in feedback.

Supabase processes technical request and authentication logs to operate and secure the service. These can include IP addresses, request times, user-agent information, account identifiers, and error details.

How we use information

We use this information to sign you in, load your school’s catalog, save your coursework and plan, check course requirements, suggest pathways, calculate projected graduation progress, respond to feedback, and provide account support.

Prereq does not sell personal information, serve advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Services that help run Prereq

Supabase provides authentication and storage for account-linked app data. Apple or Google handles sign-in, depending on the method you choose. Your sign-in provider supplies an authentication identifier and any email address or name you permit it to share. Apple may supply a private relay email address.

Academic plans and course history are not sent to Apple or Google as part of sign-in. These providers handle information under their own privacy policies. You can read the policies for Supabase, Apple, and Google.

Google’s sign-in component may also process account identifiers, profile and contact information, device identifiers, technical and usage information, and IP addresses that can indicate approximate location. Google uses this information for authentication, fraud prevention, and the operation and improvement of its sign-in services. Prereq requests the standard sign-in profile and email scopes. Storage and security

Account-linked information is stored through Supabase. The app also keeps local data on your device. Access controls are used to restrict access to your account records. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee complete security.

Keeping and deleting information

Your account information is kept to provide the service while you use Prereq. You can edit your coursework and plan in the app.

To delete your account, open Profile → Account settings → Delete account. After confirmation and reauthentication, deletion removes your account and associated active application records, including feedback submitted in the app, along with profile-specific local app data. Emails you send to the support address are held separately from your app account to investigate and respond to your request. Contact us to request deletion of those messages. Supabase’s current Free plan does not include scheduled project backups. Operational logs and authentication audit records are separate from active account records, and account deletion does not necessarily remove them immediately. Their availability and retention depend on the service and project configuration. Contact us for information about a specific record or deletion request.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can update your coursework and plan within Prereq. To request access to your personal information, correct information you cannot edit in the app, or request deletion, email prereq.contact@gmail.com. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account before disclosing or changing personal information. Please do not send passwords or identity documents with your initial request.

Submitting feedback is optional. You can turn off “You may contact me about this” before submitting feedback. To withdraw permission for follow-up about feedback you have already submitted, contact us at the same email address. This does not affect your ability to use the app.

If you no longer want Prereq to keep your account information for its planning features, you can request account deletion in Account settings. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete the information stored with your account. We handle privacy requests in accordance with applicable law.

Age eligibility

Prereq is intended for students aged 13 and older. It is not intended for children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to Prereq, please contact prereq.contact@gmail.com so we can investigate and take appropriate steps to delete that information.

This website

These pages contain no advertising, analytics scripts, or sign-in forms. GitHub Pages hosts the website and may process technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver and secure it. See GitHub’s privacy statement. Opening an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

Updates will appear on this page with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
